Get to know the Travel Health Consult
Most travelers don’t realize how much risk they’re taking by skipping a proper travel health consultation. It’s not just about shots — it’s about safety.
International travel can expose you to health risks Canadians don’t typically encounter — from mosquito-borne diseases and foodborne illness to vaccine requirements for entry into certain countries. Many of these risks are preventable, but only if you’re properly prepared.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to help you feel clear, confident, and ready.
From travel prep to prescriptions, here are some of the most common questions we get.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Some services, like prescription pickups and general questions, don’t require an appointment. But for consultations, vaccinations, and travel health services, we recommend booking ahead to ensure we have the time and resources set aside just for you. You can book your appointment here.
Can I get vaccinated at the pharmacy?
Yes. We offer a wide range of vaccinations, including respiratory (flu, COVID-19, pneumonia) and travel vaccines like Yellow Fever and Typhoid, and more. Travel vaccines will be administered after our Travel Health Consult (can be booked here).
Do you offer travel consultations?
We do. Our travel health consultations are pharmacist-led and tailored to your destination, trip length, activities, and personal medical history. We’ll walk you through everything you need, including vaccines, prescriptions, and region-specific precautions.
Are your services covered by OHIP?
Some are! Services like MedsCheck medication reviews and certain vaccines (like flu and COVID-19) are covered for eligible patients. We'll let you know upfront what’s covered and provide receipts for anything you may be able to claim.
Can pharmacists prescribe medications?
Yes. Our pharmacists can assess and prescribe for a number of common conditions and minor ailments — like UTIs, cold sores, pink eye, allergies, and more. It’s quick, safe, and often more convenient than a clinic visit.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes — select services, like travel health consultations, smoking cessation, and pharmacist prescribing for minor ailments, can be done virtually for patients in Ontario. If follow-up care is needed in person (like vaccines), we’ll get you booked.
Still have questions?
Whether you’re planning a trip, curious about a vaccine, or just need help figuring out what service is right for you — we’re here to make it simple. Reach out anytime and we’ll point you in the right direction.
